It wasn’t that long ago that we got to restart the grind in Ni-Oh 2 with it’s second DLC, allowing us to pour 100’s more hours into it’s never ending new game plus modes. KOEI Tecmo and Sony have now announced that the final DLC pack for the title will be launching next month.
Known as Ni-Oh 2: The First Samurai, you’ll embark on an adventure further into the past of the Hein period, and finally put an end to the mystery of your origins. You can read the official excerpt below:
The thrilling conclusion to the Nioh 2 story and the third and final downloadable content expansion, “The First Samurai,” will be available on December 17, 2020. Brace yourselves to take on some of the most challenging missions and formidable foes in the entire series, along with an added difficulty level that will give even the most seasoned veterans a run for their money.
A flash of light from Sohayamaru whisks the protagonist back to the past as a Visitor for the third and final time. They are brought back to the place their mother spoke of when they were very young, the land of the fabled youth that defeated an oni. Otakemaru’s past, the secret of Sohayamaru, and the truth behind the first samurai. All of these mysteries will be revealed, and the protagonist’s long journey will finally come to a climactic end.
Ni-Oh 2 The First Samurai DLC will be launching December 17th worldwide exclusively on Playstation 4! You can pick up the DLC separately or get it via the Season Pass on the Playstation Store.
